Les Dr Matthieu Peyre et Michel Kalamarides appartiennent à l’équipe de recherche « Génétique et développement des tumeurs cérébrales », dirigée par Marc Sanson & Emmanuelle Huillard à l’Institut du Cerveau. Cette équipe de recherche a pour objectifs d’identifier de nouvelles mutations génétiques et biomarqueurs des tumeurs cérébrales, ainsi que de comprendre les mécanismes cellulaires et moléculaires impliqués dans leur développement.
Les neurochirurgiens appartenant à cette équipe travaillent plus particulièrement dans le domaine des méningiomes et des cavernomes et ont signé plusieurs publications d’importance dans ce domaine, en développant notamment une expertise mondialement reconnue dans la création de modèles souris de ces deux maladies.
